Shopping Trip #1: Meijer



I found a $2/1 Tetra Flakes coupon a while back and when we realized we could get these for free, we stocked up! We got 5 containers of the food at $1.67 each and used 5 of the coupons, making our total FREE :).

I also found a manufacturer coupon on Lindor Chocolate's Facebook page a week or so ago (no longer available) for free chocolate :). Meijer was having a sale of 2/$6 and we had 3 of the coupons.

The next deal we took advantage of was Suave. Meijer had a sale going of buy $12.00 (or more) worth of Suave shampoo/conditioner, automatically get $4.00 off. So we paid $8.00, plus I had a 75 cents off coupon (Sunday paper), making our total $7.25.

Without coupons: $12.43
With sale/coupons: $7.68

They also had a sale of 2/$4 going for Herbal Essences going on, which I had a $1.00 off coupon for (Sunday paper).

Without coupons: $4.00
With sale/coupons: $3.00

The steal of the day: Ganier shampoo/conditioner on sale for 2/$5.00 + a buy 3 get $3.00 off promotion. I bought 3 for a total of $4.50, plus I had a $1.00/1 Garnier coupon that I used x3... making my total for 3 shampoos/conditioners only $1.50! I paid $1.89 with tax :).

Total Savings: $38.28


Shopping trip #2: Target

- 2 Litter Genies (on sale for $14.99 each, with a FREE $5 Target gift card when you buy 2)
- 2 Glade Expressions starter kits ($2.99 each)

Target allows you to use up to 4 identical manufacturer coupons per transaction (per person). We bought 2 of the Litter Genies and used 2 $10/1 Litter Genie coupons, bringing our total to $9.98 for both.

Without coupons: $29.98
With coupons and the $5 gift card: we paid only $4.98 for both!

For our second transaction, we bought 2 of the Glades and used 2 $2/1 Glade Expressions Mist coupons, and 2 of this $1/1 Glade Air Care item coupon.

Without coupons: $5.98
With coupons: FREE! We paid $0.35 cents for tax and used our gift card from the previous transaction.

Total Savings: $35.96

At the time we weren't positive how many of the same coupons we could use in a transaction, so we will be going back for more :).
